Since the adoption of Eurocode 3/EN 1993 for Structural Steel Design by the Singapore Building and Construction Authority (BCA), the industry has had to align with a rigorous control framework. Additionally, AIC has been actively engaged in the new accreditation program launched in December 2022 for the certification of Specialist Builders (Precast Concrete Works), jointly led by BCA and SAC. This program guarantees that precast factories or yards comply with relevant standards during the production of precast concrete products or structures, instilling confidence in purchasers.
