RAK was recently engaged by the main contractor to provide technical consultation on the structural integrity of an RC column. Due to segregation caused by high concrete pouring and a dried slump, multiple areas of honeycombing were observed. The contractor appointed RAK to assess the severity of the honeycombing. RAK conducted a visual inspection, along with destructive and non-destructive tests such as UPV analysis and core tests.
